Chicago • QUARTER-BY-QUARTER ANALYSIS
Ex-Jazzmen Kyle Korver and Carlos Boozer combined for 53 points, leading the Chicago Bulls to a 111-97 victory against Utah on Saturday at United Center.
Korver hit 6 of 11 3-pointers during a game that saw three former Jazz players start for Chicago, which improved to 34-9 and maintained the NBA’s best record.
“I wanted to come out and be aggressive,” Korver said.
He added: “We’ve got a deep team and guys keep stepping up.”
Paul Millsap’s team-high 26 points topped Utah (19-21), which went 2-3 on its five-game road trip.
The First: Jazz 22, Bulls 22
Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap put in good early work, giving Utah a 20-16 lead. But ex-Jazzman Kyle Korver records 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting to keep the Bulls close.
The Second: Bulls 48, Jazz 41
John Lucas and Taj Gibson spur Chicago’s bench, while a Utah second unit guided by third-string point guard Jamaal Tinsley is out of synch. Earl Watson returns, though, and Millsap continues to pound away.

Derrick Rose kicks up his game, while former Utah players Carlos Boozer and Ronnie Brewer do damage. Chicago’s lead hits 68-53 late in the period as the Bulls take control.
The Fourth: Bulls 111, Jazz 97
Jamaal Tinsley helps Utah pull within 80-69. But as soon as Rose re-enters the game, Chicago again speeds away. Korver then drills three more 3-pointers, hurling a dagger into the Jazz’s heart.
