Restricted free agent Kyrylo Fesenko could have had a three-year, $9 million deal from another team in July if he were an unrestricted free agent, but he’s not and so the Utah center is left in limbo, HoopsWorld reports. More than a few teams expressed interest in signing the 7-1 Ukrainian, but the Jazz let other teams know they would match any offer so none came, except from European teams, which are offering between one and two million Euros, the site reports Not much else going on in the NBA world today. The New York Knicks just made a deal to line the pockets of Amar’e Stoudemire (notes) with $100 million over the next five years and the team is waiting to hear if LeBron James (notes) wants to leave home with the Cleveland Cavaliers and come be part of the glamour of New York and try to help save the Knicks. If he doesn’t, one source tells ESPN that the team is interested in former Utah Jazz power forward Carlos Boozer (notes) . Yesterday, the Miami Herald reported that Boozer was also getting interest from the Miami Heat , but that it would take a sign-and-trade to get him under the salary cap in south Florida. Utah Jazz guard Deron Williams (notes) is supposed to play for the USA in the world championships this summer but that might not happen due to a sore right wrist. He’s apparently planning to just rest the wrist for the next month or month and a half to see if it heals on its own before deciding whether he should have surgery or not, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. The Phoenix Suns finished off the San Antonio Spurs in a four-game sweep but the team sure could use center Robin Lopez (notes) back in the lineup before it beings the next round of he playoffs, particularly since it’s looking like its opponent will be the Los Angeles Lakers if L.A. can finish off the Utah Jazz . Sure, Andrew Bynum has a small tear in his right meniscus, but that didn’t stop the Los Angeles Lakers center from playing close to 25 minutes last night, bringing down 10 rebounds, and scoring eight points in the team’s Game 1 win over the Utah Jazz last night. The word from the Orange County Register is that Bynum will need surgery to fix the tear but will keep playing through the pain. Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko (notes) has recently had blood drained from his injured left calf and introduced platelet-rich plasma into his bloodstream but he’s now saying that there is a possibility that he could appear in the team’s first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets that is tied at one game apiece. It won’t be for Friday’s game, but Kirilenko says it could possibly happen later in the series , according to Deseret News.
